March 10 Demo Day

Monday, February 15th, 2010

On March 10, 2010, TechColumbus will host an event to highlight the products from 14ninetytwo finalists MobileXpeditions and Mylee (formerly Cut the Chaos).  We will provide more information in the near future about the specifics of the event.  It will be held at the TechColumbus facilities and will take place from 11:30 am to 1:00 PM.

Both Mark Gilicinski and Tracy Appiah will be presenting their products.  They will also participate in a panel discussion to discuss their products and their experience with the 14ninetytwo program.  The panel will also include some of the participating vendors.  Together they will reflect on the program and outline the next steps in their product development and business timeline.

We are excited to make this event available to the Central Ohio Tech Community.  Stay tuned for the details and a link for registration for the luncheon.

Survey Says…

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Thanks to everyone who participated in our survey about the Awareness of 14ninetytwo.  We had 24 responses and that alone says something about the program.  We are not doing a good job of keeping people informed about what is happening.

In summary, those who responded felt that the program or something like it is important to the Central Ohio Tech community. About half felt that the program needed more empirical data about what we are doing and what we have accomplished.  Opinions were also mixed regarding the effectiveness of the program.

Considering this was a pilot, I have to admit, we learned many great lessons that we would apply to the next iteration.  It is always important to learn from where you have been.

So, take a look at the survey to get the specifics.  It won’t take long, but we believe in showing warts and all.  Without feedback from participants and the community, we can’t be sure that we are doing the right thing.

Please feel free to post comments and keep this thing going.  The more the merrier.  Just as with the survey, as long as your not spamming us with comments, we will publish them.

Check out the Survey results.
